Job Description
 
Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Assistant Printing Press Operator is responsible for assisting with, set-up, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations. There are ample opportunities to get involved, learn and grow with Cascades. This job is recognized under National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2011.
Shift: Days and Afternoon shift/ Rotating shift.
Flexibilty is required.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
•    Feed the machines and assist with setting-up various sections on machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
•    Obtain order and verify stock specifications and condition.
•    Monitor box quality, and report any quality problems to the Operator.
•    Complete necessary administrative duties and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
•    Assist operators with job duties on machine.
•    Turn in maintenance orders to supervisor for repairs.
•    Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
•    Comply with all company policies and procedures, including conduct, Health & Safety and maintaining good housekeeping, as well as all government regulations.
•    Additional duties related to or not related to this job classification as assigned by supervisor
