JOB SUMMARY

CBRE is looking to hire a Project Management Director to support stand up and management of an electric vehicle charging fleet program across the US and Canada for an existing major energy, oil and gas client.  This role is crucial in building and maintaining client and internal relationships, serving as a key liaison to our client as the program is managed.  The Project Management Director will lead a project team across US and Canada who are responsible for delivery of the EV charger program in support of the client fleet program within established safety, budget, schedule and quality expectations.  This position will partner with a program management office (PMO) that will develop and maintain key program elements such as engineering, estimating, technology, sourcing, safety, QC, playbook development, training, reporting, etc.  The Project Management Director will be involved with program set-up and assurance against established governance, as well as management/stewardship of an internal P&L.  This role will partner closely with key team members in the PMO and executive leadership team. The anticipated team directly or indirectly reporting into this position are Sr Project Managers, project managers, engineers, and project analysts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.      Responsible for financial performance of program, including supporting budgeting, actual results, forecasting and reporting. Responsible for billing (including documentation required for revenue recognition), accounts receivable (AR) collection, expense monitoring and control, staffing (including allocation, if applicable) and full P&L to EBITDA before all allocations.

2.      Interacts regularly with client(s) to ensure that goals and objectives are established and achieved. Develops and implements action plans to correct variances. Anticipates and responds to the client's needs and concerns.

3.      Manages and leads Project Management staff across the program geography and ensures thorough staff understanding and implementation of operations, policies, and procedures. Formally supervises individual employees and/or subordinate supervisors. Responsible for identifying tracking performance, coaching, training needs, and motivating direct reports and work group. Directly or indirectly responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation for direct reports and work group.

4.      Ensures appropriate safety stewardship and implementation across the program, including self and team management against both client and CBRE established safety programs/requirements.

5.      Directs all phases of Project Management including proposal development, estimating, feasibility, design, supply chain, solicitation, project delivery, project closeout, and program planning. Key focus areas include safety, scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management.

6.      In alignment with account leadership, supports development of new business growth and maintains existing business relationships. Utilizes success of program and established client relationships to create new business pursuits. Integrates with other CBRE business lines, and helps cross-sell our CBRE business within the sector, program or client account to achieve the company's strategic business objectives.

7.      Exhibits a complete understanding of company's corporate governance policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring corporate governance policies and procedures are adhered to within work group.

8.      In alignment with PMO, supports accurate, timely, and compliant contract procurement, contract negotiation, contract execution, contract administration, and closeout. Contracts include company agreements, client/vendor agreements, company/vendor and supplier agreements. Monitors adherence to policies and procedures regarding internal governance and controls.

9.      Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead design engagements, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks for client and company.

10.   Collaborates with PMO team regarding preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports to the client and company.

11.   Participates in civic and business organizations. Conducts and maintains relationships with industry and trade associates, vendors, and professional organizations.

12.   This role will report directly to the Americas Electric Vehicle Charging Delivery leader.

13.   Travel as required to ensure successful oversight of the program with respect to client relationship and project delivery.

14.   This role can be delivered remotely from a home office.

15.   Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the planning, organization, and controls for the aforementioned EV fleet program delivery. Will be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. Required experience directly managing work group or leading 3rd party project delivery resources/team (typically larger, more experienced team).
