We’re looking for a standout PR Manager who is confident, comfortable and poised as a media spokesperson.
Remote First: You will have the option to work remotely from the Lower Mainland area, but we will require attendance at our downtown Vancouver office for quarterly planning, important meetings, team get togethers or whenever you want to "crew together" IRL!
Office-First: You will get to work from our downtown Vancouver office 2-3 days a week, and work remotely the remainder of the week!
So, what will you do?
- Develop, lead and measure robust PR campaigns in multiple markets
- Regularly conceptualise and implement fresh ways to keep Plenty of Fish relevant within the mediascape.
- Develop and edit communications materials including press release copy, reactive and proactive statements, user surveys, external surveys, pitches, briefing documents, bylines etc.
- Develop, plan, and implement a variety of external events involving vendors, media and talent
- Track and analyze global media coverage on an ongoing basis, providing regular updates to partners and senior leadership
- Be a supporting point of contact to PR agencies
- Lead the crisis communications and escalation processes and procedures cross functionally from start to finish
You’ll be a match for the role if you…
- Have a strong communications track record
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a fast-paced PR environment
- Are a strong self-starter and creative thinker who brings fresh perspectives to drive new PR
- Possess outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Enjoy acting as a media spokesperson
- Have your finger on the pulse of social media trends and have a keen sense for incorporating Plenty of Fish into media moments that matter
- Get excited by data and finding new ways to measure and communicate the value of your function
