We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant who will be a hands-on member of the production team(s) with the goal of delivering continuous improvement in quality of products by applying best practices and developing tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
Some duties include:
Hands-on approach to production processes by working with the areas of production
Conduct pre-op inspections and environmental swabbing
Communication with Supervisors and employees to champion GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Conduct daily monitoring and verification of food safety processes
Random sampling of products
Maintain documents related to food safety
Train others on food safety
Actively participating in complaints and recalls
Review and update SOPs
Actively participate in HACCP team
Participate in or lead 3rd party audits
Coordinate with labs for testing
Preference will be given to internal candidates as well as those with previous Quality Assurance or HACCP or food production experience.
