About the role: If you are interested in supporting an integration for up to one year, this is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer II. The position will require you to utilize quality knowledge and technical skills to help support and execute integration activities, for a compliant and efficient integration of BSC Production & Process Controls processes, and related QMS deliverables, into the Access Solutions Quality System. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, with a team of Quality Engineers focused on supporting manufacturing processes and equipment integration. This position will help to drive improvements and efficiencies and along with integration, work to identify process improvements as related to P&PC activities.  This position will support the Cartago, Costa Rica and Mississauga. Canada Access Solutions sites reporting to the EP Integration team Quality Manager. 
This is a full-time position that will serve as a 12-month assignment.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with team of Quality Engineers under the direction of the Quality Manager to support and execute process and quality deliverables associated with P&PC
  • Work with project managers and/or other workstream leads to understand priorities execution of deliverables
  • Work with team to complete associated deliverables related to TMV, MVP, PRA, OQPQ, WSVA and Practice versus Procedure, etc.
  • Actively collaborate with the team specific to early document drafts, support testing/analysis, decision making and document approvals
  • Proactively investigate, identify, and implement best-in-class quality practices
  • Support execution of deliverables associated with the strategic vision for P&PC integration and timelines
  • Ensure completion of assigned integration deliverables per set schedules
  • Maintain cross-functional team relationship; collaborate effectively and positively with Access Solutions peers
  • Work with manager and lead to establish and maintain goals, and objectives and ensure quality system, regulatory and safety policies and processes are followed
  • Evaluates the adequacy and compliance of Access Solutions systems, operations, and practices against regulation and BSC requirements
  • Support development of Quality Plans and Project Tracking Plans for workstream 

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing/operations experience
  • Experience with problem solving and process improvement tools such as DMAIC and production flow tools such as LEAN manufacturing
  • Experience with TMVs, Process Validation, IPM, WSVA, PRAs and be able to draft, review and/or approve associated documentation related to this specific work

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Quality Integration experience
  • Medical device industry experience
  • Hands-on technical/mechanical experience and aptitude
  • Ability to influence and work with a team collaboratively 
  • Strong ability to problem solve in a manufacturing support role
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, by analyzing, summarizing, and presenting ideas concisely via visual communication methods i.e. tables, graphs, Excel, Minitab, and PowerPoint presentation
