Job Purpose:
Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated. May assess draft and final label copy, using knowledge of labeling regulations. Minimizes down time by reducing production rework and recalls.

Nature of Duties:
Conducts repetitive inspection of product/materials against known standards, procedures and checklists.
Identifies and segregates non-conforming material.
Reads assembly and process documentation.
Has working knowledge of the IPC 610 standard.
Contributes to identifying, articulating and escalating problems or issues for Technical Support or Engineering, and assists in gathering requested information and proof necessary to help establish the root cause of problems and determine corrective action.
Recognizes discrepancies in documentation or problems with quality, product, or process, and recommends changes.
Conducts product inspection, documenting as required, according to specific procedures.
Properly executes on inventory control, cycle counting, and computer transactions.
Works with Engineering to implement continuous improvement.
Identifies, reads/interprets and applies complex ECO modifications or other instructions.
Records data on a daily basis.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and performance standards.
May conduct process audits in manufacturing.
Prepares components and/or wire.
Conducts cable and harness assembly.
Supports other company requirements when necessary.
Normally follows established procedures on routine work, and requires instructions only on new assignments.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years’ related work experience. Support positions typically require general education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.
