Stark & Marsh CPA LLP is seeking a qualified individual to join our Record Keeping & Payroll Department on a Full-Time basis in Swift Current, SK Office.
Our successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring everyday financial transactions for corporate and personal clients. They will also prepare personal tax returns and deliver software generated financial statements to clients. The ideal candidate will have bookkeeping experience, however on-the-job training will also be provided.
Job duties include:
Account transaction entry into a ledger or computer software
Some account analysis
Account reconciliation
GST calculation and remittance
Payroll account maintenance (issue payroll checks, deduction calculations, remittances)
Corporate Tax account remittance
Some analysis of financial statements
Preparation of file for year-end completion
Contact clients for records to be brought in and follow up for any missing information
Data Entry into Accounting Software
Preparation of personal tax returns which requires a commitment to longer hours through tax season
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in any of the following software programs preferred: QuickBooks, Sage 50, AgExpert, and Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn the others as they are applicable to this position.
Knowledge of CaseWare, TaxPrep and Profile programs are considered an asset.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and tasks.
