Job description

WHO WE ARE

The Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) supports the Canadian Armed Forces members and their families wherever they are in the world through the provision of fitness, recreation and leisure activities, family and charitable support, retail as well as personal financial services. We offer our employees the opportunity to work with a purpose every day in an inclusive, healthy, respectful and rewarding work environment.

THE ROLE

The Gym Front Desk Attendant plays an important role for Personnel Support Programs. They are essential in maintaining operational facilities, and providing friendly and welcoming membership services to our military members and their families.

Our services are tailored to help our military members and their families face some of the challenges that come with military life, and help them make the most of everyday activities such as going to the gym or pool. We believe that when members of the Canadian Armed Forces are able to take good care of themselves and their families, they can do better both at home and at work. Whether families need to sign their kids up for recreational programs, improve their own fitness, or make friends in a new community, our services are here to help.

As a Gym Front Desk Attendant each day will be different as you manage access to the facility, answer customer inquiries and provide services such as membership sales, while maintaining a cash float and providing daily reports. You will register our customers into recreation programs, work to control the use of sports and recreation equipment, perform minor maintenance when required, and help ensure the cleanliness of the equipment and facility.

This is a role where everyone works as one team using an understanding of the unique pressures and rewards of military service to provide the best customer experience of our members, to simplify and improve their lives. If you thrive in a customer focused environment, and in a culture that is passionate about exceeding customer expectations, this is the opportunity for you.
