Mandate
We are looking for experienced business development professionals who are passionate about supporting and enabling student success. This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic individual who has experience within the Financial Services industry looking to make a difference in the lives of Canadian parents and students. The incumbent will maximize potential revenues by acquiring new customers, as well as upgrading and growing savings of existing customers.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
· Support the Regional Vice-President with the implementation of all sales management practices in the assigned market by creating a regulatory compliant sales culture focused on ethical selling, adherence to corporate policies and procedures, and frequent communication with the goal of running a low-risk team.
· Partner with the Regional Vice-President on coaching and supporting the Sales Representatives in the market to meet and exceed sales targets.
· Guide the sales team to implement the sales plan and achieve individual quotas, including performance standards. Support sales representative in preparing S.M.A.R.T business plans to support their business.
· Responsible for the recruitment of new Sales Representatives.
· Partner with the Regional Vice-President to augment or supplement the support required for prospecting activities, including Community of Interest (COI)-related activities. Act as key liaison with the Marketing team on supporting the needs for local advertisement and business development
· Measure and monitor all key metrics of Sales Representatives including lead conversion and consolidating information in a presentable manner for the Regional Vice-President.
· Support Representatives in answering questions from prospects or customers, handling objections, and resolving sales challenges.
· Support the Regional Vice President in building a strong successful sales team. Organise training and onboarding for newly recruited sales representatives to train them on various sales methodology
· Assist the RVP to ensure full use and commitment to corporate strategies and tools; Regularly evaluates the performance of the sales team to achieve targeted results.
· Relay relevant information about market trends and competition to the Regional Vice-President

· Min. completion of secondary education (high school diploma or GED)
· Min. 5 years’ business development/advisory experience within Financial Services or Retail industry
· Dynamic, independent and self-motivated individual
· Self-starter with high energy and ability to pick up concepts quickly
· Someone who thrives in a results-driven environment, with a positive attitude
· Proven customer centric advisory experience
· Relationship builder who is comfortable with providing advice & handling objections
· Thrives in a high volume, fast-paced environment
· Highly coachable, with a desire to grow and learn
· Qualified to be registered with the Provincial Securities Regulator (this includes a credit and police background check)
