Summary
Construx Building Products continues to grow and expand! Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Residential Building Sales Consultant is accountable for providing commercial designs and estimates for clients. This includes ensuring that orders and designs are built in compliance with all regulatory and client specifications. The Design and Sales Associate plays a strategic role in the sales component of the business through market trend analysis, seeking out prospective clients and preparing proposals – supporting the growth of our Saskatoon Branch and Saskatchewan-based operations.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Prepare designs and quote pricing
- Ensure that all designs adhere to applicable provincial code compliance and client specifications.
- Build out material packages for potential clients and draft contracts
- Identify and target new sales opportunities within the region
- Potential site visits to review client needs and specifications.
- Estimating building material packages for potential clients and pricing levels.
- Consistently maintains a superior standard of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Education, Experience and Knowledge

The following qualifications are required:
- 2+ years of framing or building experience or sales experience.
- Design experience on Mitek, Alpine, Istruct, or Javelin or other equivalent software is an asset for the design side of sales.
- Framing or construction experience an asset, not a requirement.
- Sales experience an asset, not a requirement.
- Cursory understanding of supply chain and building processes.
- Working knowledge of construction engineering specifications and design including building materials, and construction specifications.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Team player who is versatile and adaptable.
- Familiar with municipal / provincial standards and codes related to the industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Autonomous and organized.
- Good judgement and strong analytical capacity
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Ability to handle multiple tasks during high volume periods
- Valid driver's licence and a means of reliable transportation.
