Description

The Role
As part of the technical services department, you will report into the principal resource geologist and have a good working knowledge of geology and mining. You will work collaboratively in a team environment and the work you do will require attention to details, consistency, patience.
In this role, you will:
-Perform the various tasks required to assemble, validate, adjust, update and manage the databases used for geological interpretation, resource modelling, reserves and resources inventory and production reconciliation
-Be responsible for comprehensive geological interpretation and modelling of orebodies on section, plans and in 3D
-Maintain and insure compliance with QA/QC programs, SOX & NI 43-101 requirements
-Collect production data from all mine sites and monitor production performance vs model expectations
-Establish, monitor and review drilling programs to delineate mineralized bodies
Required:  
-Bachelors degree in geology or geological engineering
-Minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
-P. Geo, P. Geo-in-training, P. Eng or P. Eng-in-training registration
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
-Excellent written, communication, computer, data analysis and compilation skills
-Occasional travel to site by aircraft
Recommended:
-Maptek Vulcan or other mining software package experience
-Experience with JMP or other statistical software package
-Experience with acQuire centralized databases
-Knowledge of uranium mineralization settings or other relevant experience
-Previous experience in an exploration or mining work environment
