Retail Sales Associate Job Description

As the public face of the company the Sales Associate is responsible for dealing with any and all customer questions about the products and services the company offers. A Sales Associate is expected to be continuously updating their knowledge of the company products, services, and policies.

Job Responsibilities:

SALES

· Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service.

· Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing cash outs

· Directing customers to merchandise within the store

· Preparing orders for online sales customers

· Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

· Re-stocking products on the sales floor

· Receiving vendor orders

· Storing products

· Identifying and processing expiries

· Arrange the product display areas in a visually appealing manner

· Acquiring product knowledge through learning videos

STORE PRESENTATION

· Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor

· Assisting in keeping the store and stock area clean and orderly

· Disinfecting and cleaning high traffic areas

DETAILING INQURIES

· Answering queries for detailing appointments and coordinating for same with detailers

· Responding back to customer with accurate appointment date and time

· Conducting inspections of detailed cars using checklist

Any other duties as required

Requirements:

• Retail Sales experience
• Hands on experience with POS transactions
• Proficiency in English
• Professional appearance
• Friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus
• Ability to work independently in a fast-passed environment
• Ability to retain product knowledge
• Ability to work flexible shifts
• Inventory management skills will be an asset
• Social media advertising skills will be an asset
• Experience in purchasing activities will be an asset

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: From $12.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift

COVID-19 considerations:
All customers and staff are required to wear masks.
Limit of 5 customers in the store.

Experience:

• sales: 2 years (preferred)
• customer service: 2 years (preferred)
