Based at our Regional Landfill located in the RM of LeRoy, responsibilities will include:
- Operating weigh scale, weighing trucks in & out
- Accurately recording weights into the system, verifying scale tickets and ensuring material is graded and paid
- Calculating costs for drivers and customers based on vehicle weight, preparing and issuing tickets and receipts
- Ensuring accuracy of tickets
- Balancing cash box for all daily monetary transactions
- Completing daily, weekly & monthly reports, maintaining logs, spreadsheets, and other reports as assigned
- Communicating with other employees to coordinate the movement of materials
- Assisting customers with directions and questions
- Providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining order and housekeeping of scales and Scale House
- Overseeing water monitoring program of landfill
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
- Minimum of one year previous administrative or customer service experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Intermediate skills with MS Word and Excel
- Strong, accurate data entry skills
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail & ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to become certified in Landfill Basics Operation and Water Monitoring program
Willing to train the right candidate.
Weekly hours could vary from 16 - 45 hours.
