What does a Security Guard in Toronto do?
-Deter, detect, respond and manage unwanted activity
-Conduct security related duties including patrols, emergency response, access control, alarm response, building evacuations and investigations
-Work alone or as part of a team
-Write detailed incident reports  
-Attend and investigate incidents and calls for service in a timely and professional manner
-De-escalate situations and provide support to emergency responders
-Report unsafe working conditions
-Provide first aid and medical support as needed
-Work with the site team to identify and mitigate risks, communicate in a timely fashion, complete assigned tasks and client requests as needed
-Work with the management team to enhance the program as circumstances arise and change  
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Toronto
-Eligible to work in Canada
-A valid Ontario Security Guard license
-Valid first aid, AED, and CPR Certifications
-Use of Force and De-escalation
-Clear criminal background
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with people verbally and in written English 
-Available to work flexible hours
-Completion of health and safety, AODA, and WHMIS courses
-1-2
years' experience
 in Customer Service, Security or equivalent role operating within a commercial tower or corporate head office
-Knowledge of basic technology – Radio operations, Word Processing Skills, Emails
