Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Installation and Servicing Technician to efficiently install, maintain, and repair Security Systems, alarm devices, video systems, access control, and associated equipment. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide security system training to end-users as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair Security Systems, including alarm devices, video systems, access control, and related equipment.
Provide training on Security Systems to end-users as necessary.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues.
Demonstrate proficiency in basic IT skills and an understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) configuration, connection, and operation.
Interpret diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals as needed.
Maintain proficiency in the use of personal computers and relevant software applications, including internal proprietary programs.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in roles relevant to the responsibilities outlined for this position.
Possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of an acceptable driving record, as out-of-town travel may be required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and withstand prolonged periods of standing, bending, pulling, twisting, reaching, and climbing.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency with security system brands such as DSC, Honeywell, Axis, or Kantech is an asset.
Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in the effective use of test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
Ideal candidates will possess a diploma or certification in IT or electronics from a recognized post-secondary institution.
