Production Engineer

Your role
The Production Engineer is a critically important role responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting production plans for the manufacture of controllers and ultrasonic sensors used in ordinary and hazardous locations that are safe, effective, and quality driven. Your team-oriented skillset and understanding of modern manufacturing principles are key to this role. Success will be measured according to effectiveness progressing manufacturing cell development across the plant and minimizing downtime on the production floor.

Your responsibilities
Working out of the Long Sault, Ontario factory, you will be responsible for:
· Defining, implementing, and supporting production plans across the factory
· Being subject matter expert for various production tasks: sensor builds, test and evaluation, calibration and product packaging and training workers.
· Manufacturing cell design
· Assisting with containment activity with engineering team and Production supervisors.
· Analyzing and resolving both internal and customer quality issues through the NCR process.
· Assisting in the auditing and maintenance of ISO and QAN/QAR accreditation for the factory
· Continuous monitoring of test metrics for proactive identification of risk and driving continuous improvement.
· Assist in development, construction, and evaluation of all fixtures (electromechanical) to support the manufacturing operation and quality assurance.
· Assist in maintaining systems for flow and level metrology and associated NIST traceability at the Long Sault factory.
· Assisting the production team in troubleshooting any product and quality related issue to avoid work stoppages.
Your background
You demonstrate a high level of experience or aptitude in production engineering and quality assurance.
· Good interpersonal skills working in a fast-paced workplace where Quality and product excellence is expected.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to effectively prioritize on customer needs and team objectives.
· B.S. Engineering or Science bachelor’s degree is a minimum preferably with electromechanical or computer systems background.
· You are results orientated and organized, recognizing the value of transparent quality metrics in driving operational excellence.
· Demonstrates professional, positive, results oriented behaviour.
· Experience with manufacturing or quality systems management is an asset.
· Production engineering experience with electronics and other manufacturing and/or test jig development is an asset.
· ERP systems, databasing and desktop application development is as asset.
· Fully competent and conversant in Microsoft office suite.

Salary: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
