Senior Financial Analyst - Finance, HR and IT Department. (PERMANENT FULL-TIME)
Full Location: Nunatsiavut (Nain, Hopedale, Makkovik, Postville, Rigolet) or Happy Valley Goose Bay.

Responsibilities:- Responsible for assisting with the preparation of program, departmental and government-wide budgets.
- Responsible for the preparation of a detailed, accurate and timely variance analysis of the actual results against the budget and/or forecast, including explanations for significant variances.
- Responsible for the analysis of budgets and recommendations for modifications to annual budgets.
- Responsible for assisting with research and financial analysis as required for briefing materials.
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial trends and recommendations.
- Responsible for the preparation of financial projections and financial analysis for programs.
- Responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial reports for capital projects of the Nunatsiavut Government and as required for the Inuit Community Governments.
- Responsible for assisting with preparation for the year-end audit of the financial statements.
- Preparation of various financial reports as required by management.
- Other related duties as required.
- University degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or related discipline with the completion of a CPA accounting designation.
- Minimum five years of strong finance experience including knowledge of budget, revenue, financial reporting, general accounting, or financial analytics; or relevant combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical, strategic problem solving and conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent collaboration, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized.
- Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bilingual in Inuktitut and English is preferred and considered an asset.
