The Information Technology Division (ITD) of the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement supplies a full range of IT services to government ministries and agencies.
The Citizen-Centric Program Delivery (CCPD) branch is seeking an exceptional individual who is an effective communicator, and cross-team collaborator with strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills for the position of Senior Programmer Analyst.
The primary role of the Senior Programmer Analyst is to support and maintain various applications, including taking responsibility for monitoring the system and communicating with the vendors regarding problems to ensure the system is functioning in order to meet business needs. Position diagnoses, isolates, and debugs issue(s) and performs problem resolution, ensures proper documentation of the problem resolution and is responsible for defining, evolving, and enforcing software development standards.

- Completion of a degree in computer science, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years experience working as a Programmer Analyst.
- Experience working with different file formats (XML, CSC etc.).
- Previous experience with the following technologies - Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Suite, .Net, JAVA and Visual Basic.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Message Queues and multiple messaging service platforms such as RabbitMQ, Azure
- Service Bus, Kafka or other AMPQ complaints.
- Experience in working with Windows and Linux platforms, with basic bash/shell scripting.
- Experience in Business Analysis, estimating and usage of DevOps Tools is beneficial.
- Database concepts, theories and principles including backups, disaster recovery, capacity planning, tuning and performance monitoring.
