We are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager for our Commercial Banking team.
Additional Information:
- Salary: $104,000 to $130,500 per annum, plus incentive plans
- Work Arrangement: Remote-friendly
- Office Location: Kingsway Branch
- Status: Full-time (37.5 hours a week); entitled to excellent company benefits

This role will predominately be building business in the Energy Services or Diversified Commercial sectors. If you have established business networks in Edmonton and/or Northern Alberta, and are Smart, Gutsy and Driven - you belong at Servus Credit Union. You will be part of a team who originate, develop, and foster many of Servus' largest commercial members. You are experienced at managing complex needs and credit structures. You will have a proven track record with established network and Centre of influences in Edmonton and/or Northern Alberta. You take ownership for the origination, analysis and negotiating with financially sophisticated companies with credit accommodations generally in the $10M - $50M or higher range. Syndication (participation) experience is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain effective business development efforts with the goal to acquire new commercial business in the Diversified or Energy Services sectors and truly help companies to succeed by providing all relevant banking products and services with the support of specialists, like Cash Management.
- Portfolio Management – prudently maintain within Servus' risk tolerances and build strong relationships with your existing and new members
- Understand and evaluate complex financial statements of companies generating over $10M in annual revenues and tailor credit solutions.
- Lending solutions may include large operating loans, syndicated facilities and complex cash flow based lending structures and may involve collaboration with lending partners including subordinated and mezzanine debt providers.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with counterparts at other Financial Institutions and credit unions to facilitate loan syndications.
- Ensure a timely pro-active approach to annual service need analysis
- Drive member wallet share with new and existing full service members by establishing, maintaining and growing the relationships using key Partners including Business Solutions/Cash Management
- Build and maintain partner relationships with centers of influence, broker network and influential organizations
- Participate in relevant industry associations and networking activities.

Requirements
To qualify, you'll need at least the following:
- Exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with sophisticated clients
- Minimum 5 – 8 years of financial industry experience with a focus on commercial banking
- Undergraduate degree in business (or relevant field)
- Proven ability to produce effective results working independently with limited supervision while also operating effectively as a collaborative team member.
- Possess strong credit underwriting and negotiation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and establish priorities to manage multiple projects
