Opportunity:
- Commercial underwriting for all lines of business in accordance with underwriting standards, processes, and guidelines.
- The focus is on renewal or new business production and program underwriting.
- Program business negotiation and maintenance.
- Higher authority level for larger more complex accounts.
- Liaising with brokers, clients, and account managers on questions of policy issues and interpretation of coverage.
- Providing mentorship and training of junior team members.
- Building relationships with our broker partners and act as an advocate for Intact Public Entities within the insurance market.
- Opportunity to provide expertise on project teams as business and development needs allow.
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum 2-3 years related experience preferred.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- CIP or working towards would be an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Analytical and judgment skills required.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently.
- Team player who is focused on being customer-driven.
