Senior Utility Operator (Wastewater Treatment Level 3)

Purpose of the position

The position will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Operating and maintaining the water treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection, wastewater treatment, storm water collection to comply with the provincial standards and guidelines for Municipal Waterworks, Wastewater systems.
Being responsible for safety and staff development, to ensure our staff work in a safe environment and are trained in the work they perform.

Contributing to the department’s capital planning and projects, to ensure projects and department goals are achieved successfully.
Performing other duties as required.

To be successful in this position, you will:
Come to us with a Level 3 wastewater treatment certification recognized in Alberta.
Minimum 5 years' experience in wastewater treatment.
Have great mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting abilities.
Bring great interpersonal and public relations skills.
Demonstrate the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Position details:
Salary range: $68,931.20 - $97,780.80
Compensation package also includes: full family health & dental benefits (100% paid by the County), additional health/personal spending account, LAPP pension plan, 3wks vacation
Full-time permanent position
Hours: Days, evenings, and weekends
