Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) Administrator  to join the Digital group in Mississauga.
Under the direction of the Systems Program Manager, the SPF System Administrator is responsible for ensuring SPF performance and availability targets are met. Administration of SPF database, application servers and SPF development tasks as assigned.
As the SPF System Administrator, you will work in the Systems group and will support the integrated SmartPlant environment. This position will work with other team members, Engineering and Design Departments to provide operational and development support.
You bring to the role:

-Demonstrate working knowledge of SPF, schema editing, mapping, publish/retrieve, reporting, configuration, troubleshooting, and deploying SPF is required
-Demonstrate experience with custom authoring domains, workflows, concurrent engineering and SDV
-Manage and create reporting options through the project lifecycle
-Troubleshoot, SQL database and SmartPlant Enterprise integration and software issues
-Provide end user-support to project resources to troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise
-Identify potential areas where policies & procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed
-Identify opportunities to reduce overall costs and improve end user performance
-Identify potential service level problems and facilitating solutions via root cause analysis to eliminate reoccurring problems
-Assist with the testing and deployment of new development work or software upgrades
-Follow change control processes and project standards
-Schedule and prioritizing work to accommodate user needs with minimum impact
-Continually seek opportunities to enhance and improve the overall end-user experience.
-Document configuration changes and processes
-Interface with all additional related software such as SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID), SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), SmartPlant Materials (SPM).
You bring to the role:
We are looking for a person with minimum 5 years of experience in support, integration and development of SPF including but not limited to:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science
-10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years of directly related technical knowledge and experience on at least two major capital projects, and 2+ years of SPF administration experience is required.

-Proven experience implementing and supporting SPF in complex SmartPlant integrated environment.
style="margin-bottom:9.0px"-
-Working knowledge of MS SQL and/or Oracle SQL*Plus and ability to use these tools in an integrated environment is required
-In-depth working knowledge of SPF Software.
-Relevant engineering and/or construction industry experience is preferred.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Highly motivated and self-directed with strong customer service and communication skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively via spoken and written English is a required.
-Demonstrated proficiency in SPF API’s using C#.NET, VB.NET or VBA\6 and the MS Office suite.
