LOCATION:
HYBRID: This is a hybrid role (remote & in-office) requiring the student work from the Markham office approximately 2-3 days a week.

PROGRAM TERM:
This is a 12-month position
Summer: May 1, 2023 – April 26, 2024

THE TEAM:
The team behind XBOX and AMD RDNA SoC chips is hiring again for its next flagship project. If the challenge of working on the next generation of a complex SOC design is for you - position in SoC Power Convergence and Analysis is available!

THE ROLE:
We are currently looking for a System-on-Chip Power Analysis and Verification Engineer who will be part of a team working on next generation of a complex SOC design which include integration of GPU core, Multi-Media, PCIE, etc. The successful candidate will play a key role in SOC power analysis performing the following duties for functional, power, and performance aspects with simulation and hardware emulation environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal and collaborative skills
Organized and methodical with proven ability to plan and execute
Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced, pressure filled environment
Flexible in terms of responsibilities and hours

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
A truly multidisciplinary function - Working in close collaboration with the front-end designers and physical designers on the various SOC verification efforts
Interacting with a wide variety of internal and external design verification development teams, DV methodology, and Silicon IP and tool vendors.
Work with architects, and the design and DV team to define develop Testplan
Execute system verification plan from power management, system features e.g. power management, interoperability, multi-engine Security, Coherency, etc.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Strong knowledge of programming in Verilog, C, C++
Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Perl/Python/Shell)
Strong knowledge of digital logic and circuits
