Job description

Faculty of Business Administration

(Contractual Position to March 31, 2026)

DUTIES

Reporting to the Manager of Academic Programs, the Success and Career Coordinator fosters student engagement and success through the coordination and delivery of career advising and professional development opportunities as well as acting as a navigator for wellness resources and supports. Duties will include developing and implementing a career learning series; providing career information, offering support for job search strategies and skills, interview preparation, networking and recruitment events; gathering and analyzing local and global labour market and employment information; designing and implementing student success support initiatives for students; and performing other related duties as required. The successful candidate will develop relationships with faculty and industry professionals and assist students, employers and faculty members in understanding current labour market needs and trends for business students. This will be delivered through individualized coaching, group workshops, and web-based resources in the Faculty of Business Administration's Embark centre.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (1-3 years) in career or job coaching, training, and evaluations, identifying, designing, and implementing career strategies, best practices, and programs; graduation with an undergraduate degree in a related field (Curriculum and Instruction, Post-Secondary Education, Leadership, Student Development, Business preferred) and a demonstrated ability to connect with the local, national and/or global business community. Coursework towards or completion of a master's degree would be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will have a strong cultural sensitivity and global awareness, along with excellent communication and public speaking skills in order to reach out to the business community. A coaching certificate and experience in university level of teaching of career curriculum would be assets.

SALARY $53,696 - $80,539 per annum (Management and Professional)
