Job description

About the role:

Every summer, Cadets attend youth summer camps to expand on their training and to network with Cadets from across Canada. These camps require the support of qualified medical professionals to respond to a wide range of healthcare needs from the campers.

Nurse Practitioners and Primary Care Physicians are needed to perform physical examinations, diagnosis and manage common health conditions, perform selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, counsel patients on preventive health care and facilitate access to health services and referrals. Education on communicable diseases, responding to first aid concerns, and supporting mental health needs will be daily aspects of the role.

These casual roles are ideally suited to those who have some flexibility in their schedule. YO=uu can choose to cover a few days a week or you can take on the full camp schedule. Whatever works best for you! We offer you the opportunity to work with a unique paediatric population who are motivated to be in good health and live active lifestyles. You will also benefit from working in a team environment in scenic locations across the country.

Various opportunities are available in both rural and urban settings in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, , Alberta and BC.

The qualifications:

Must be licensed as a Physician or Nurse Practitioner in your province of work

Hold certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) (physician)

CPR certificate

N95 Mask fit

WHMIS

Vulnerable Sector Screening police check

Government Reliability Clearance

Type of Assignment:
