As a Community Relations Assistant, you will bring important road safety messages and information to people of all ages in communities throughout Manitoba. Your work as a road safety ambassador will involve delivering presentations on bicycle safety, cyclists and pedestrians, the importance of seatbelt use and the dangers of speeding, distracted and impaired driving.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a road safety ambassador at trade shows, summer fairs and events throughout Manitoba.
Organize and deliver presentations in different regions of the province.
Deliver bicycle safety presentations to elementary school children and youth.
Prepare reports on events and activities.
Qualifications:
Education
Enrolled in or returning to study at a post-secondary educational institution. Recent graduates in the current year will also be given consideration. This position may be of interest to you if you’re studying education, nursing, communications or marketing.
Experience
Experience in teaching or presenting to audiences of various ages.
