Job Description
What you can expect in a typical day:
As a summer student with Irving Oil you will have an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment with one of Canada's Top 100 employers! As our Corporate Social Responsibility/ Communications Student, you will be an integral part of our Advocacy and Sustainability Team and will assist in advancing our employee programming for Diversity and Inclusion , social impact, and preparing both internal and external communications. Examples of this could include design ing and developing mental health learning sessions, boosting engagement within our employee giving platform, supporting community programming initiatives, working behind the scenes with our Employee Resource Group, editing content, preparing social media posts, drafting internal articles and developing communications plans.
This is a fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking and the ability to collaborate well with others in a team environment.

Professional skills :
- Proficiency in all forms of social media would be an asset
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Bilingualism is an asset
Travel
- Travel is not a requirement for this role
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education with a strong interest in Public Relations , Communications or related field.
- Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school in the Fall 2023
