This role provides oversight and/or recommendations from a Process or Program Development perspective that integrates work from specialists across cross functional Energy Conservation (“EC”) and Business Development (“BD”) teams. You will also be managing, developing and encouraging a team of professionals.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the development, maintenance and implementation of EC program design & implementation lifecycle processes and associated templates. (ie. Sector Plan; Offer Plan; Implementation Plan; Offer Adjustment; Research Request template; and additional new templates as required)
  • Develop lifecycle workflow and timeline, communicate expectations in open fashion, monitor approval process aligned to accountabilities at the appropriate supervisory/management level.
  • Accountable to develop, maintain and implement a prioritized multi-year rolling work plan of research for all Energy Conservation.
  • For RIF, develop guiding principles, determining fund allocation, multi- year work plan, project prioritization and onboarding and provide project management for required 3rd party research (feasibility studies).
  • Maintain a view in market of standard processes as it relates to program design and delivery in different jurisdictions.
  • Implement EC Research and external studies that support the EC Plan and Framework (eg. APS ).
Who You Are:
  • Related University degree preferably in Business, engineering, marketing and/or economics degree along with seven or more years of Marketing/Sales/Demand Side Management (DSM) experience in a regulatory environment.
  • Leadership, customer focused, innovative, results oriented, team oriented, interpersonal skills, oral and written communications including public speaking. Strong analytical ability to find opportunities and mobilize action to take advantage of them. Ability to achieve results through others such as industry and trade allies.
  • Strong people leadership, mentor, analytical and insightful thinking skills.
  • Experience in a wide variety of policy development, regulatory interactions, energy and market analysis, both in an agency and in a client environment.
  • Understanding of customer viewpoints would be an advantage.
  • Project and budget management skills. along with strong attention to details.
  • Negotiation experience with outside parties
  • Additional experience in other operating or regulatory areas of the Company will be an asset.

Working Conditions:
Some travelling is required for this role (10- 15%). Valid G License and responsible driving record is needed.
