The Opportunity:
Responsible for understanding the physical and chemical properties of all Canpotex products in service of customer inquiries, internal/external audits, operational decisions and general Supply Chain projects.
Coordinates surveillance to meet customer and contract quality requirements.
Responds to various customer inquiries and questionnaires related to product quality, product specifications and production processes.
Collects and analyzes data to identify deficiencies and problematic areas associated with product quality throughout the Supply Chain; identifies root causes and suggests improvements.
Undertakes ad-hoc Quality and Supply Chain projects and liaises with both internal and external sources in order to obtain relevant information, gather feedback and complete such projects on time and on budget.
Travels as needed on behalf of Canpotex to load ports and disports, laboratories and mine sites to represent Canpotex, follow up on product quality investigations, coordinate and/or present quality programs.
You have:
Bachelors degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, Applied Science or a related field.
Minimum two to three years experience in a relevant role. General office experience or summer positions in a lab/mining environment would be an asset.
Experience in potash production and/or a potash laboratory environment is an asset.
You bring:
Demonstrated ability to create and manipulate complex Excel spreadsheets, data models, databases, and pivot tables to analyze large datasets and produce accurate reports.
Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written language skills; must be able to articulate and communicate effectively.
Experience or proficiency in programmatic data extraction and analysis techniques, utilizing tools such as Python, SQL, VBA, etc., with a demonstrated ability to extract actionable insights from large datasets is an asset.
