Our client, one of Canada's most recognized suppliers of building materials is looking for a Territory Account Manager in the greater Montreal area. In this role you will be part of an amazing team and be responsible for developing and generating more business by building strong relationships with your retail customers in your assigned territory.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure key financial objectives are met for assigned accounts and territory by creating sales growth and demand for products at the builder/contractor level as well as material retailers by aligning channel players to drive sales to the distribution network.
- Implement sales plans, marketing, pricing, and distribution strategies for the retail market.
- Develop target accounts by nurturing productive relationships with retailers within the channel, presenting business development proposals to seize sales opportunities and prospecting entrepreneurs in the assigned territory to ensure ongoing support for all product lines and align all key players in the sales channel.
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration or other related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the sale of building materials products through the retailer network
- Knowledge/experience in the construction sector
- Must be able to present a value proposition and overcome price discussions/negotiations
- Ability to execute key deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem solving and good judgment skills
- Ability to motivate others to achieve results
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate the entire internal organization
