Territory Manager Field Operations - Vancouver BC

Territory Manager, Field Operations Vancouver BC

Job Summary:
Manages and performs activities that drive optimal retail service and installation results for mass
channel retailers. Develops effective and professional relationships with store management in
assigned territory to promote Hallmark, ensure smooth operations and gain incremental floor
space. Leads a part-time field team to execute all service activities at store level, and supports
installation activities, including new programs, new store openings, renovations and revisions.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Leadership:
  • Leads and develops team in support of personal and professional growth.
  • Develops talent, demonstrates a supportive climate where everyone is encouraged to strive
for excellence and practices versatility in leadership style in all scenarios.
  • Accountable for performance management, succession planning, coaching, counseling and
development of team.
  • Clearly defines expectations and actively manages team to reflect changing business needs
to ensure corporate priorities are met.
  • Emphasizes the need for and value of safe working practices.
  • Ensures team is accountable to Hallmark Canada standards and government regulations.
Demonstrates integrity in handling of confidential corporate information and personal
information relating to the team members.
  • Manages all resources within budgeted guidelines.
Field Service and Installation Management:
  • Manages part-time team in ongoing and regular service for all mass customer accounts in
territory by ensuring consistent and excellent execution of Hallmark product and promotional
programs in each assigned account. Includes ED and Seasonal Programs.
  • Schedules work-with time in each store to ensure service standards are met and all product
programs are displayed according to corporate and customer standards.
  • Leads and oversees all revisions, renovations, and remodels for mass customer accounts in
assigned territory. Includes attending on site and ensuring overall execution according to
plan.
  • Partners with Territory Installation Manager on fixture installation to ensure shared
understanding of requirements and timing.
  • Actively participates in installation activities in territory.
  • Follows up with feedback for improvements and solves any store level issues.
  • Proactively monitors and manages Part Time service budget and productivity of team. Uses
monthly reports to manage the gaps.

Relationship Management:
  • Develops and nurtures professional consultative partnerships with store management in
territory.
  • Develops long term positive retail relationships with store management.
  • Responsibility for “retail influence” with store managers to advance product and program
placement outside of the Hallmark department to drive revenue.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • University/College degree in Business/Administration/Marketing or related field or working
experience equivalent
  • General business/marketing understanding is required
  • Experience working and managing in a customer-focused operations environment is
preferred
  • Experience with retail service/installation activities preferred
  • Strong customer/consumer orientation – able to build strong understanding of each
customer and their business goals/needs.
  • Possess the customer focus, resourcefulness and adaptability to ensure customer
satisfaction
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written - including two-way communication
skills to effectively listen for feedback and to transfer knowledge
  • Ability to multitask along with superior time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable to change (i.e., people, systems or processes)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Fully Vaccinated* against COVID – 19 as some retail partners require this as a condition to
enter their premises*
  • Bilingual English and French – verbal and written – would be an asset
