Position: Savory Cook
Reports to: Pastry Chef and Production Manager
Thierry Busset is widely regarded as one of the finest pastry chefs in North America. Our shop boasts a stunning room featuring classic chocolates, macarons, cakes, and pastries: all items are hand-made daily using only premium ingredients. Barista crafted espresso and liquid chocolate beverages are also a central part of the cafe, complimented by a selection of sandwiches, soup and savory offerings. We are also licensed and offer a selection of wine and spirits to complement our wide array of products.
JOB SUMMARY:
Working under the supervision of the Sous Chef, the incumbent will play a key role in preparing ingredients and finishing savory menu items for all Thierry locations. The ideal candidate is a team player who works well under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare and cook high quality foods
- Maintain food safety and hygiene
- Cook with precision and speed
- Communicate and coordinate with the team, including front-of-house
- At least one year of directly related experience in premium French cuisine within an upscale fine dining environment
- Enrollment in or completion of a culinary program
- Food Safe Certification
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, withstand heat, and deal with the pressures of preparing food in a fast-paced environment
- Dedicated team player
- Extremely organized; keeping to deadlines and working with precision in a fast-paced environment
- Responsible, motivated, and energetic self-starter
- Excellent English communication skills
