  • Warehouse Address: 9 Tantramar Cres, Amherst, NS, B4H 4J6
  • Shift Time: Full-time, Mon to Fri, 10am to 7:30 pm
  • Wage: $17.45 per hour minimum
  • Shift Premium: $0.60 per hour
  • This is a lead position for Break Pack and will be focused around line end

Some of what you will do:

Responsible for daily warehouse activities, which includes the direction of warehouse employees to ensure that all job tasks are performed as effectively and efficiently as possible in a manner that meets customer service standards, productivity and quality goals.

Specifically, you will:

Efficiently direct all job tasks within the operation in a manner that increases productivity and meets workload targets before the end of shift.

Resolve production and personnel issues during shift and reports necessary problems to Warehouse Supervisor.

Administer company policies and represent Staples in a positive and professional manner.

Ensure housekeeping standards and equipment maintenance.

Ensure all Health and Safety guidelines are enforced.

Qualifications:

Some of what you need:

Previous warehouse experience including operating warehouse equipment is required preferred.

Working knowledge of warehouse operations; product knowledge would be an asset.

Effective organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills that would allow for the creation of positive working relationships.

Additional Requirements Information:

Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity is needed to perform the essential duties of the job:

The employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee may lift, lower, or carry products up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand.

The employee may operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
