Please note: This posting is for an 4-month Student Summer 2024 placement with a start date of May 2024, and end-date of August 2024. In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2024; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 202), you must require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
Please ensure that you meet these eligibility requirements before applying - candidates who apply but are found to be ineligible are not able to be considered
What is the opportunity?
You will be responsible for supporting the Licensing, Contracting and Compensation teams at RBC Insurance. Updates and/or tasks must be completed accurately and in a timely manner to support the uninterrupted and accurate disbursement of compensation to advisors and distribution and access of client information to advisors.
What will you do?
- Investigate advisor coding errors/referrals in the policy admin systems to support the Underwriting and New Business process and policy changes
- Update Advisor Licensing and Errors & Emissions information
- Converting files for digital storage
- Performing general administrative work
What will you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Excellent time management, organizational
- Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and fluctuating workloads
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize within a changing environment
- Ability to build effective relationships, both internally and externally
Nice to have:
- Proficient in excel and Word
- Show flexibility, initiative and resourcefulness
- Able to work with minimal Supervision
- Teamwork and partnering in a complex matrix organization
- Accept and successfully execute change
