Description
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Sulfuric Acid Plant and Utilities Steam Plant
-Strive for continuous improvement in operation efficiency and product quality
-Will be required to be trained in the operation of other areas such as the Ammonium Sulphate Crystallization & Oxygen Plant
-The Chief Power Engineer or Power Engineer supervisor will assign other duties as required
-Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and electronic communication to relay information regarding condition of plant
Skills and Qualifications:
-Must have a 2nd Class Power Engineers certificate, preference will be given to those who have a 1st class ticket or progress towards their 1st
-Previous involvement within a acid plant or crystallization plant is considered an asset
-Supervisory experience is preferred for future advancement within the department
-Experience with SAP, Delta-V and PI is considered an asset
-Willingness to accept additional responsibilities and project work
-Ability to work independently, and enjoys working in a team environment
-Ability to interact and develop effective working relationships with co-workers
-Problem solver who identifies problems and has excellent troubleshooting skills
-Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewan North (RSN)
Work Location, Schedule & Conditions:
-McClean Lake site
-14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
-This position is physically demanding; must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in higher than normal heat conditions (up to 40C)
