Description

Ability to work with vulnerable populations and as part of a team.
Outreach to applicant and admitted students who have self-declared a disability on their application to Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
- Serve as the point of contact for prospective, applicant, and admitted students and caregiver questions about Accessibility Services.
- Organization of Accessibility Services events/outreach activities based on data (e.g., the Easy Start Transition Workshop).
- Assist students registered with Accessibility Services with funding applications for accessibility needs (Equity, Block, CSG, Student Loans, etc.).
- Timely follow up with students on missing information for disability grant funding (in person and virtually).
- Make appropriate internal referrals for Accessibility students (e.g., to Counselling, Learning Services, etc.).
- Work directly with Apprentices requiring Academic Accommodations on the PA campus to facilitate those accommodations in various ways.
- Support academic accommodation for additional programs as needed.
- Support students, directly, with navigating our online booking system, Accommodate.
- Academic Program outreach.
- Ability to work with instructors, program heads, and other services areas within Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
- Proactively researches external supports, services, and resources students with disabilities can access in their community if needed.
- Running various created reports within Accommodate for outreach and statistical purposes.
