Job description
The Acting General Manager of Operations will lead teams responsible for Operations, Resource Planning and Training Deployment with a staff consisting of screening officers, operational and administrative personnel.
Tasks & Duties

-Overseeing the staffing, scheduling and the deployment and scheduling of regulated training
-Maintaining and developing a strong working relationship with CATSA, the union, employees, and all aerodrome stakeholders
-Communicating the client’s corporate culture and organizational values for the region to all unionized and non-unionized personnel
-Adherence to the company’s Corporate Objectives fostering successful business applications in addition to operational and business continuity.
-Working with the Regional Quality Manager to initiate performance improvement plans and meet regulatory compliance objectives.
-Developing business strategies, overseeing budgets and setting goals based on the company's and client’s plans and expectations.
-Implementing Human Resource strategies in collaboration with the Human Resources team
-Detailed knowledge of the collective agreement interpretation and application
-Provide managers with problem solving skills and guidance on union matters up to and including grievances.
-Ability to problem solve, take initiative and be self-motivated while maintaining high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, timeliness, and confidentiality.
-Manage all activities related to the total business achievement, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Morale
Education & Skills Required

-Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident
-Minimum 5 years of successful operations management experience
-University degree or diploma in a related field
-Work independently without direct supervision, problem-solving and conflict management
-Understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies
-Ability to develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the client and key stakeholders
-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables
-Availability for travel
Additional requirement: Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
