Position Description:
The staff member receives customer orders and allocates the projects to the Damage Prevention Technicians (Techs) based on availability and workload. Accurate and timely instructions must be provided to the Techs to ensure that customer expectations are met and exceeded. Provide administrative support to Managers as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive and process requests for utility locate requests and schedule with Technicians
- Process, document and transmit information to coordinate the activities of the Techs
- Initiate, follow-up on and coordinate public locate reports that are required along with obtaining and organizing utility data from numerous external sources
- Keeping customers advised of the progress of their requests and transmitting the required reports to them on a timely basis.
- Handling and successfully resolving inquiries from customers and field staff
- Contribute to building and strengthening client relationships through superior customer service
Qualifications:
- Professional attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Strongly organized, attention to detail and able to multi-task
- Ability to problem solve in an often fast paced environment
- High school diploma required
- Proficient in MS Office products, specifically Excel and Word
- Excellent command of English language, both oral and written
- Proficient in QuickBooks to help with administrative work.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
