Job Title: Administrative Assistant to the Directorof Student Affairs and Engagement

Location: Fort Erie, Ontario

Organization: Sheridan at CCTT

About Us: Sheridan College has partnered with CCTT (Canadian College of Technology and Trades) to deliver Sheridan academic programs in Fort Erie, Ontario. This is the first public college-private partnership outside of the GTA. Students will be job ready, receive a Sheridan credential, and have access to the post-graduate work permit upon graduation. Our partnership seeks to fill the province’s labour gaps in skilled trades and other key industries.

As we prioritize student success and Engagement, we are seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to support the Director of Student Experience in implementing and managing projects that enhance the overall student journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Student Experience to plan, execute, and monitor various projects aimed at enhancing student engagement and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure successful and timely completion.
  • Task Management:
  • Prioritize and manage the Director's daily tasks, including scheduling, email correspondence, and follow-up activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation related to student experience initiatives.
  • Implementation Support:
  • Act as a key point of contact for the implementation of Student experience programs, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to project objectives.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners to facilitate the integration of new initiatives.
  • Communication Coordination:
  • Facilitate effective communication between the Director and various stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Manage internal and external communications related to student experience initiatives.
  • Event Coordination:
  • Support the planning and execution of Student-focused events, workshops, and activities to enhance campus life.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue booking, catering, and participant communications.
  • Data Management:
  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to student experience programs and projects.
  • Generate reports and analyses to assess the impact of initiatives and inform decision-making.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Provide administrative assistance, including managing travel arrangements, processing expenses, and handling other day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefing materials and documentation for meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management and task coordination.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
