About the Opportunity

The Administrative Support Assistant reports to the Manager of Palliative Care and will provide assistance in the delivery of the Palliative Care program while supporting the mission, vision, values and strategic directions of the health authority. The Administrative Support Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the client record, receiving and tracking referrals, release of information and the archiving and retention of organizational records in accordance with records management standards. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, multi-tasking and professionalism.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial or office administration program or equivalent required
  • Certification as a Health Records Technician by the Canadian College of Health Records Administrators preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in an administrative assistant position required
  • Previous Palliative Care experience an asset
  • Advanced working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software, specifically Microsoft Office * * Products (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) required
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Meditech Client Registration and Community Wide Scheduling programs
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills as well as demonstrated initiative in managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills with demonstrated evidence of critical thinking, problem solving and analysis process ability
  • Experience working in a hospital or health-related environment preferred
  • Project management experience an asset

$24.28 - $30.54 Hourly
