What you’ll be doing:

We are looking to add an afternoons Machine Operator to our team! Your role as a Machine Operator - Lamination will be to set up, operate, and adjust the large format Litho Laminator machine while ensuring quality expectations and production needs are met. The Shift has flexibility but main working hours are 3pm-11pm

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Operation, set-up, and routine maintenance of Litho Laminator machine
• Loading and unloading Litho Laminator machine
• Evaluate job orders/requests and communicate accurate timelines
• Detect machine malfunctions and troubleshoot when necessary
• Follow all standard operating procedures
• Perform all assigned work safely and efficiently while meeting tight deadlines
• Ensure high quality standards are being met consistently
• Communication of job status and timelines with supervisor and other departments
• Must be able to stand and monitor machine through the shift
• Bending, twisting, kneeling and stooping as is required for normal machine operation

You should be familiar with:

• Large Format Litho Laminator machinery (on-the-job training will also be provided)
• Company safety policies and government legislation (ie. Occupational Health and Safety Act).
• Basic machine knowledge functions
• Computer competency and skills
• Reading, writing, and arithmetic

Ideally, you'll have:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Post secondary education will be considered an asset.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment
• The ability to lift up to 70lbs
• A drive to ensure quality work is being produced consistently
• Experience with data entry
• Strong problem solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
