Agile Coach/Project Manager
On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Agile Coach/Project Manager for a 6 month contract in that is fully remote!

As an Agile Coach/Project Manager, you play a crucial role in fostering successful Agile adoption and implementation throughout the organization. main purpose is to optimize the value stream of change. To deliver increased value in support of business unit. They will support multiple Agile delivery specialists across platform teams. The role ensures that the domain adopts Agile values and principles and that the teams apply DevOps techniques and collaborate optimally using formal and informal scaling techniques to achieve the business goals. Agile Coach/Project Manager Responsibilities
  • This position requires extensive hands-on experience with Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban, along with scaled Agile practices. Your role involves providing coaching, training, mentoring, and leadership to enable collaboration, development consistency, andvalue delivery across multiple teams and departments.
  • There will be multiple projects and agile teams. The Agile coach is to help with set-up of multiple new agile teams responsible for delivery of key projects in the new year.
  • Serve as an Agile champion for all assigned projects and teams, guiding them on their Agile journey.
  • Work with delivery team to create an Agile environment that is cohesive and effective across multiple teams, and to encourage adoption of Agile techniques so the teams perform at a high level and continuously improve
  • Support scaled teams to collaborate effectively and focus on continuous improvement of the overall outcome delivery
  • Work closely with the senior team across aligned delivery or Business Unit to build an effective Agile and enhanced software engineering maturity, including DevOps.
  • Support and assist Product Owner(s) and the Product Owner community in their area of accountability to apply Agile practices and subject area
  • Embed and improve the understanding and practical application of appropriate delivery frameworks, practices and values, particularly scaling approaches by sharing standard methodology and bringing in learning from outside of the organization
  • Assist leadership with the creation of an effective environment for the domain teams to become self organizing and successful within a collaborative scaled framework
  • Assisting leadership to apply Agile techniques for effective domain level prioritization, pipeline management, organizational structure, reporting etc.
  • Assist in establishing and supporting new Agile teams, helping them become self-organizing, self-managing, and highly functional.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to in-flight project teams, aiding them in their Agile transformation and facilitating effective planning, team dynamics, operations, and delivery.
  • Act as a change agent, advocating for Agile principles, continuous improvement, and value delivery throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to define clear objectives and key results (OKRs) to drive value delivery.
  • Facilitate an environment of continuous improvement and adoption of Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Coach teams on backlog prioritization and management, ensuring a healthy backlog that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Deliver educational support on Agile principles, Scrum/Kanban practices, and additional Agile techniques to enhance the organization's execution and innovation.
  • Measure and track teams' progress in Agile adoption through various methods like surveys, data analysis, interviews, etc.
  • You will work on day-to-day basis with highly motivated project team members and other stakeholders to solve business problems using principles of Agile software development.
Agile Coach/Project Manager Mandatory Skills
  • 10+ years of IT experience with last 10 years in leading teams as Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager using Agile methodologies.
  • A solid understanding of Agile values and principles and how to apply these in a complex, multiple team, scaled environment
  • Strong experience helping to set-up agile delivery models to set-up lines of business for success in continuous agile delivery
  • In depth knowledge and practical experience of a range of Agile frameworks, DevOps and ability to support teams in the application of the principles and practices
  • Good collaborator leadership skills and an ability to inspire individuals and teams to change and improve
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching and influencing skills
  • Ability to devise & deliver (informal) training, mentoring and workshop sessions to address education and improvement needs in the Technology Platform Team
  • Self-motivation and willingness to learn and explore new ideas
  • Proficiency in project management practices such as scope management, estimations, risk management, and change management.
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience in mentoring, training, and teaching.
  • Collaboration experience in cross-functional teams encompassing technology, design, business, and operations.
  • Agile certification(s) such as KMM, KCP, SAFe, PMI-ACP, PSM, CSM, CSPO, or any other relevant Agile certifications.

Fully remote opportunity - may require some onsite travel at the expense of the Consultant. Must be eligible to work in Canada.
