Agro Manager

Lake Lenore Co-op is hiring an Agro Manager at our Agro location in Lake Lenore, SK.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the Agro team in a manner that demonstrates day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and brand.
• Manage the Agro department in accordance with the company policies, procedures, and programs, including ensuring compliance to all legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee talent acquisition, engagement, performance management and succession planning for the Agro location.
• Ensure the procedures for the delivery of merchandise and chemical/fertilizer are adhered to.
• Maintain accurate inventories, complying with proper classification and authorization of invoices.
• Develop and administer action plans to achieve the desired results of the business plan.
• Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of operational and financial results including sales, margins, expense, inventory and SPEH for your department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• You have a Grade 12 education.
• You have a degree or diploma in Agriculture or Agribusiness.
• Professional certifications (CCA, PAG) or working towards is an asset.
• You have a valid Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Strong agricultural background in sales, accounts management, and agronomy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
• Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills.
• Motivation and ability to work in a busy environment.
• Effective planning, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain relationships outside of the organization that supports the organization.
• You are honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
