What you'll do:
Reporting to the Agro Area Manager, the Agronomist Summer Student provides basic agronomic information and advice on seed, pest identification, crop protection, and crop nutrient/fertilizer so local co-op customers can make informed decisions based on reported findings. Additional responsibilities include:
-Perform field scouting, agronomic troubleshooting, crop planning, fertility, and crop protection recommendations
-Maintain knowledge of current industry best practices and trends
-Support senior team members in executing transactions and operational duties
-Communicate effectively with senior team members to ensure inventory is in place to match demand
Who you are:
-You are pursuing a degree in agriculture and are motivated to gain industry experience
-You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
-You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most
-Have a valid drivers license
-Willing to travel throughout the trading area to support our customers and business
