The Town of Drumheller is looking a Camp Coordinator, New All Sports BCF Camp for the summer!
Position Summary: Responsible for developing, planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating the new All Sports BCF Camp summer program for children/teens ages 9-14 years old and working closely with the Recreation, Arts & Culture Program Coordinator. Originality, initiative and enthusiasm are necessary to create a memorable, fun and safe summer for the participants. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills are essential.
Hours Per Week: Approximately 40 Hours per week (Monday – Friday)
Pay Scale: $22.60/ hour (All Sports BCF Camp Program Coordinator 1 positions - CUPE 4604)
Start Date: May 27, 2024
End Date: August 30, 2024
Qualifications: This position is funded through the Canada Summer Job Grant program and therefore you must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment and have the following qualifications:
- Supervisory experience
- Must have a driver’s license
- Previous experience working with children, sports, and recreational activities would be considered assets
- A passion for working with children and understanding of a variety of child learning needs
- Provide a clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid/CPR/AED
