What You'll Do;

As the Allocation Analyst, you will be responsible for executing the weekly/monthly replenishment, ensuring stores have the right product at the right time. Working closely with the Associate Buyer to ensure tasks are done on time and within the expected budget by managing replenishment & allocation of inventory in our Golf Town stores across Canada.

You will lead the weekly review of core SKU inventory needs by store needs, collaborating with the store, buyer and planning teams on the implementation of assortment, allocation, space and replenishment strategies with balancing inventory required for promotions and seasonal requirements and allocating inventory in advance to ensure inventory is in stock to support sales.

  • Own the purchase order process from creation to uploading, information changes, item cancellations/reinstatement, confirmation, and pricing, as well as working with vendors on inventory availability, managing purchase orders and ensuring delivery times are met.
  • Recommend core inventory requirements based on a rolling 12-month sales cycle by identifying unproductive inventory (i.e., discontinued, excess, etc.) by working with vendors and the sales channels to sell through this inventory on time
  • Collaborate with the Merchandise Planner to ensure proper in-stock levels, balance store sales to inventory ratios, and work within Open to Buy.
  • Works with stores to ensure timely receipt of shipments and partner with vendors to plan inventory capacity and replenishment by fixture and for instore Planogram programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships externally with vendors and internally with cross-functional teams, ensuring the team is supported with ad hoc initiatives.

What You’ll Offer;

  • Passion for all things golf with an understanding of apparel/footwear/soft goods/ hard goods.
  • Post-secondary education (University preferred) in retail, marketing, or finance.
  • Experience in retail planning, buying, or merchandising in data entry and data management with knowledge of inventory management, merchandising concepts, operations and systems (Oracle).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient Excel Skills and strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint.
