As an Accounting & Finance Intern at AltaGas, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and talented Finance professionals and take part in interesting and challenging work assignments. Building on your classroom studies, you will develop and enhance your skills while working with mentors to 'kick-start' a successful career in Finance.
What You'll Do:
- Be assigned to one of our exciting Accounting and Finance teams.
- Receive hands-on experience with work that is valued by our leadership.
- Have exposure to senior management.
- Participate in networking events to help build professional relationships throughout the Company.
Who You Are:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting. Preference will be given to rising juniors and seniors.
- Energetic and ready to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Attention to detail is critical, as are strong analytical skills, a strong work ethic, and effective communication skills.
- Interested in learning more about the energy industry and gaining real-life experiences.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite; especially Excel, including the ability to manipulate data sets, and perform analysis using formulas and pivot tables.
Location & Other Key Details
- Location is our head office, located in downtown Calgary.
- Hours of work are a standard 37.5-hour work week, Monday-Friday. We are currently working in the office four days per week, work-from-home one day per week.
- Hourly rate of pay $24 per hour.
- Work term begins in mid-May through late August.
