What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:
• Lead economic research using qualitative and quantitative methods and develop complex data models;
• Provide expert advice on appropriate economic methodologies and frameworks to be used in evaluating proposed policy and program initiatives;
• Lead multiple concurrent project teams engaged in environmental economic research, analysis and data modelling.

How do I qualify?

Econometric, Research, and Statistical Knowledge

• You have advanced knowledge of the theories, practices, principles and methodologies related to econometric forecasting;
• You can implement research, economic and statistical analysis principles and techniques;
• You can apply the above-mentioned theories and practices in a public sector policy and planning environment.

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

• You can analyze multiple sources of complex data to develop policy and program-related recommendations;
• You can develop a course of action based on information from appropriate data sources to resolve problems.

Project Management and Leadership Skills

• You have proven project management skills to conduct multiple concurrent projects;
• You demonstrate strong leadership in guiding colleagues and project teams;
• You can successfully coordinate competing priorities and deadlines.

Communication, Interpersonal, and Computer Skills

• You can communicate information when presenting complex research analysis and other technical information;
• You can develop written materials such as briefings, reports, and correspondence;
• You can manage relationships with counterparts in various organizations and facilitate effective information exchanges on research studies;
• You have experience using advanced computer software programs and tools.

Environmental Management Knowledge

• You have knowledge of environmental management theories, principles and practices;
• You are up-to-date on environmental issues.
