Compliance IT Analyst I
Reporting to the Manager, Cyber Security and IT Compliance, you will be Supporting IT security through compliance to policies, practices and processes designed to protect Western’s employees, customers, and their data.


Here is what a typical day looks like


  • Leveraging security and logging applications to detect areas of risk-related activity and respond or escalate as required
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting compliance-related requests to maintain compliance
  • Reviewing and maintaining compliant access provisioning practices within Western’s technology set
  • Applying playbooks for appropriate responses to risk based on defined thresholds
  • Identifying areas of opportunity to improve user compliance
  • Maintaining and implementing access provisioning standards within the directory services and applications of the organization
  • Maintaining technical documentation that supports compliance standards
  • Assisting with audit requirements and security awareness campaign tasks
  • Applying compliance policies, standards, procedures and workflows for security purposes
  • Supporting teams during troubleshooting of application authentication and authorization issues
  • Focusing on continual service improvement while working with teams to ensure policies and workflows are followed
  • Collaborating with IT teams to gather information necessary to monitor for compliance misalignment


The value you bring


  • 2+ years of experience in a similar or comparable role
  • Post-secondary degree or certification in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Organized and detailed orientated
  • Good ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize accordingly
  • Good business awareness
  • Strong client focus and service skills

Hours: Full-time / 37.5 hour/week
