Make an impact with our Trade Advisory Group as an Analyst. This team of professionals offers expanded scope of fiscal and regulatory advisory services for clients engaged in the import and export of tangible personal property. As a trusted advisor, your role will involve actively participating in client information-gathering activities, conducting extensive research, and preparing top-notch deliverables. Responsibilities

  • Provide support by assisting in market entry processes, including registrations and client support for imports and exports.
  • Assist in duty and tax planning initiatives to reduce import duty and tax costs through planning and review opportunities.
  • Support compliance processes by assisting with registrations, permit applications, and documentation filings.
  • Participate in customs audits, internal compliance reviews, and assist in resolving non-compliance issues.
  • Contribute to due diligence efforts for mergers and acquisitions, focusing on identifying customs risks and liabilities.
  • Support legislative compliance by analyzing and reporting on legislation related to trade compliance, including labour standards and supply chain regulations.
  • Assist in the implementation of Global Trade Management (GTM) solutions and provide IT support related to trade compliance systems.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.

Skills and Experience

  • University degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • CCS certification is considered an asset; or willing to work toward.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Customs Brokerage, Trade Compliance or Import/Export Operations, International Business or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with trade compliance regulations and procedures is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
